3rd November saw the return of the annual UK Tech Awards 2021, sponsored by PwC in association with Silicon Valley Bank, at the Park Plaza Hotel in London. Attended by our CEO, Tim Barker, and CFO, Sanjay Jawa, Kooth was the winner in the category of ‘Tech for Good’ in a hotly contested category which included BBC Bitesize and the Zoe COVID trackerA couple of weeks earlier, on 13th October, Kooth was also recognised as the HealthTech Pioneer of the Year at the UK Business Tech Awards for its role in ‘Supporting the Nation's Mental health’. An award that our director Gareth Evans was in attendance at the Montcalm Hotel to collect.

Tim Barker, CEO at Kooth explained: “This recognition represents the step-change that we have seen in recent years in terms of the de-stigmatization and growing acceptance that mental health is of equal importance to physical health. These industry awards are testament of the hard work, dedication, and passion of the whole Kooth team in what has been a very challenging year for us all. Both are also an acknowledgement from the technology industry of the work Kooth has been doing not just as a pioneer in healthtech, but to ensure our digital platform, and data, is truly representing what it means to be 'tech for good'"

Both awards are sitting pride of place in our London office.
